Following the activity of the food service at the Ministry of Health, today (Wednesday) the Ministry of Health is warning the public against consuming the fake product “olive oil – quality oil” cold pressed, 4 liters, on the packaging of which the name of the manufacturer is not indicated. According to the results of the laboratory tests conducted by the Ministry for this product, it emerged that the fatty acid composition does not match the definition of olive oil according to the mandatory standard.
The public is asked not to consume the product after the expiration dates. The food service at the Ministry of Health will continue to examine and locate cases of food fraud such as olive oil counterfeits. If you find a violation of the legislative and regulatory requirements in Israel, measures will be taken using all the means available to the Ministry.
