For anyone who is interested in more details, contact us privately” (the mistakes in the original), the message reads which was published and distributed as mentioned on social networks.

Threats against public figures, artists and prominent figures in Israel have recently increased following the war in Gaza. Many such as Minister Itamar Ben Gabir, Member of Knesset Avigdor Lieberman, social activist Yosef Haddad as well as artists, social activists and other members of the media have already reported threats to their lives.

These threats sometimes include calls for physical harm, and even murder, as in the case of Yoav Eliasi. They reflect the growing tensions following the security situation in the Middle East and in Israel in particular. There is concern that such threats may lead to real acts of violence.

The Israel Police and the enforcement authorities are required to deal with this phenomenon and protect citizens and public figures from threats and vulnerabilities.
