The IDF destroyed two terrorist tunnels in the Beit Hanon area

Since the beginning of the war, the IDF has been working to destroy and neutralize the underground infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. In recent weeks, IDF forces have been operating under the leadership of the engineering unit of the Gaza Division, together with the engineering array of the Southern Command and the Yehlam unit, and in cooperation with the forces of the Northern Brigade and the Netzah Yehuda Battalion , to map and destroy two offensive tunnels in the Beit Hanon area in the northern Gaza Strip, which were under continuous intelligence and technological surveillance.

Last week the two tunnels were destroyed, one belonging to the terrorist organization Hamas, the other belonging to the terrorist organization GAP. The two tunnels did not cross into Israeli territory and were destroyed. An IDF spokesperson said: “The IDF will continue to work to destroy the underground infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and to deny the capabilities of the terrorist organizations, led by Hamas.”
