Two seriously and moderately injured in a head-on accident between two vehicles on Route 44

On Route 44 near the entrance to Kermi Yosef there was a serious head-on accident between two vehicles. Firefighting teams from the Ayalon station under the command of Reshef Miki Ben Huta were rushed to the scene of the accident and used hydraulic tools to rescue the trapped. When the crews at the scene identified a trapped conscious woman in one vehicle and an unconscious trapped woman in the other vehicle. After the soldiers, they were handed over to the medical authorities.

MDA medics and paramedics gave them medical treatment and evacuated them to Shamir Assaf Harofeh Hospital, a 30-year-old man in serious condition with injuries to his limbs and abdomen and a 55-year-old woman in moderate condition with injuries to her abdomen and chest.

MDA medic and driver Reuven Barak said: “We arrived at the scene and saw two injured people inside the vehicle, they were rescued and we gave them life-saving medical treatment. We evacuated a 30-year-old man in serious condition with injuries to his limbs and abdomen and a 55-year-old woman in moderate condition.”

The examiners of the Traffic Division of the Israel Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
