A resident of the center was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking

During the activity of the detectives of the Sheft station of the Jerusalem district which was held during the last weekend, the police officers noticed a vehicle that aroused their suspicion and therefore decided to carry out its inspection. When the policemen approached the car, they noticed the dog sitting in the back seat and a strong smell wafting from the car which raised the policemen's suspicion that it was drugs.

In a thorough search conducted by the police detectives in the vehicle, many cartons and bags were found containing substances suspected to be drugs of the hashish and cannabis types, weighing two kilograms.

The arrested suspect was interrogated on suspicion of drug trafficking offenses and over the weekend, the suspect was brought before the High Court to discuss his case. At the request of the police representative, his detention was extended until May 1st, and the police investigation continues with the aim of bringing him to justice.
